Player Associations work continuously on behalf of players to provide education, support and protection for their members when it comes to inequality and discrimination. The Professional Players Federation (PPF) has an EDI Committee which shares best practice and experiences of associations so they can work collectively to defend the safety and wellbeing of players.
The PPF’s first Inclusion in Sport week took place from July 1st – 7th 2024. The PPF hosted an Inclusive Language workshop as well as an in person event with panel discussions on Active Allyship and Inclusive Leadership as well as a workshop on Neurodiversity in Sport. Find out more.
A range of case studies, films and resources are available here to highlight the range of work being done by player associations as well as individual players to ensure that professional sport is as inclusive as possible.
