The PFA and family law firm Fair Result Limited (Fair-Result) have agreed a partnership which will see both current and former players from the men’s and women’s game able to access advice and support.

The PFA offers a range of support to members, including access and signposting to specialist services and benefits through relationships with third party providers.

As part of its work with players, the PFA identified a number of members and former members needing family law support, such as that provided during divorce proceedings. Such proceedings can create challenging situations that can lead to significant stress and anxiety for all involved.

Through the PFA, members and former members going through this process will be able to contact Fair Result, who will offer a fixed price services irrespective of the member’s financial position. This unique offer means all members of the PFA can access support without fear of costs that escalate out of control.

Patrick Coyle, Chief Operating Officer at the PFA, said:

“Through engagement with members we were aware of a demand for this kind of support, both during and after a player’s career has finished.

“Fair-Result offer a fixed price service for all those who might be going through separations, a process which we know creates challenges for all involved. Providing some peace of mind around fees and financial commitments will hopefully help reduce some of that stress at what is already a difficult time.”
